The Duluth News Tribune has worked with all Duluth ad agencies and would stack their work up against anyone in the country, or world. The agencies are creative, thoughtful and passionate about the Northland. There is no way an Arizona based company was 10 points better in core competencies than any of the 3 Duluth based finalists. From the state level to the local level, government officials of all ilks constantly laud the Minnesota work force as better than any. Yet these government bodies consistently make hypocritical decisions like this one that suggest the exact opposite.

If you work for a marketing agency, you hear this question all the time. There’s something about the advertising industry that intrigues people. It’s smart. Sleek. Sexy (sometimes). And it’s filled with charming, somewhat zany professionals who know how to market ice to an Eskimo. And yet, to lump all ad agencies under one identity would be a farce; no two ad agencies are the same. While some focus on traditional advertising, other niche firms solely offer public relations, digital marketing or social media services. At Oceanic, we do it all, because, well, if it doesn’t all work together, it doesn’t work!

Implementation and execution in the all of the diverse channels available can be left in the hands of the best 2 or 3 who can execute with thinking as the key metric.
