I'm always open to speaking directly with MLS owners who are dissatisfied with what Don Garber is offering. The Apple deal has sold you short—you're going to lose money on production, and the economics simply don't make sense. The valuations are pie in the sky. How many clubs have actually been sold? What happened to the $300 million for Sacramento or the $400 million for Las Vegas? MLS got lucky with San Diego, but where's the confidence in the valuation? That money could have supported growth and inspired more belief in the MLS system. If MLS is going to survive, it needs a reset. I have a comprehensive list of solutions that will not only elevate the clubs but take the sport to a whole new level in this country. I’m ready to help, but an overhaul is essential. MLS isn’t the NFL, and Don Garber has had his chance and failed. If you want to confidently discuss the future of the league, I’m available at scott@nslofficial.com. https://lnkd.in/g3CsS_pk

This is my favorite promotion at Sacramento Kings games. It's called "Crumbl Under Pressure". If the opposing team misses two consecutive free throws, all fans at the game get a free cookie from Crumbl Cookies. This has electrified the atmosphere during opponents' free throw attempts. Traditionally, fans have made a lot of noise and obnoxiously waved ThunderStix to distract the other team when they shoot free throws. But now with this promo in place, every single time an opponent misses their first shot the crowd goes absolutely bananas. And then gets an extra decibel of loud, hoping they can will the opponent to miss shot number two. When they do, it's a jubilant celebration. It's created a total buzz inside the arena and a sense of camaraderie among fans. The possibility of getting the cookie is almost better than actually getting the cookie itself. Because of what it represents. Of course eating the cookie is a pretty cool bonus, too. Grayson Hogard, I think you and Grove Cookie Company have a real opportunity here to replicate the same for the Trail Blazers market! 🍪 #promotions #marketing

This is not just any ticket. This is an original ticket to the very first Miami Dolphins game! 🐬 🏈 It's also the ticket to understanding what great sale people do ✅ and don't do ❌ . A few weeks ago my friend went to a sports card & collectible show. He buys and sells authentic sports memorabilia and often finds rare gems, like the original ticket stub he bought below. He has bought and sold mint-condition Mickey Mantle cards, signed Derek Jeter baseballs, autographed Michael Jordan jerseys, and the list goes on! But his all-time favorite team is the Miami Dolphins, and this first game ticket was the most priceless thing until this happened... His flight home to Fort Lauderdale, Florida was delayed. So he walked around the airport in Charlotte and saw an empty rocking chair - next to Dan Marino, who also happened to be at the show. He sat down and asked, "So was the card show all you hoped for it to be?" That one, curious, open-ended question led to an hour-long chat with his childhood sports hero and greatest quarterback of all time. The 🐐 himself, Dan Marino! Sellers, imagine sitting down next to the CEO of the company you want to do business with more than any other. Your dream client. Would you take a seat next to him or her? What would you lead the conversation with? Could you keep the CEO engaged for an hour? Or would you start selling features and solutions? The lessons: Be curious. Talk like a regular person. Find a relevant connection. Detach from an outcome, be present. When you see an opportunity, take your shot. My friend actually bought two of these ticket stubs. He is keeping the mint-condition one and selling the other. Any Dolphin fans out there? #hikeyoursales #sales #salestraining #miamidolphins

Ticket Sales Tip- Week #53 and the Stars behind them. (Make being a Season Ticket holder great again) In 2024 teams need to overcome are that FOMO no longer exists, the best price is a variable teams don't control and the secondary market is legit. Clue the model is broken. The biggest Jays fan I know told me last week "I'll never buy seasons again" thanks to Game Time. Solution- Add value the secondary market can't. If your secondary price is often below the membership rate, early entry on promotional dates, year round activities, flexible fair value ticket exchange, buying back games and discounted concessions should be starting points to help retain members. Remember: People know they can secure great locations "often at a discount" on game day. Major League Star- Don Rovak SVP AMB Sports Atlanta Falcons The Falcons buy back games members don't want and send Falcon members away game tickets to their Falcons away game of choice. Minor League Star- Randy Wehofer VP/AGM Iowa Cubs Member get Free parking and belong to a Mug Club that includes a drink deal every game which includes your 1st Beer on Thursdays. Buck Euchre / Dirty Clubs Buck Euchre, also known as Cut-throat Euchre or Dirty Clubs, is a North American Euchre variation in which everyone plays for themselves. As in games of the Rams group, there is a penalty for any individual who wins no tricks. There seem to be several different versions of Buck Euchre. This page first describes one for four players played in Ohio, USA, based on a contribution from Ed Eby, then the game of Dirty Clubs, based on a contribution from Rik. Finally a three player version from Indiana is explained, using information from Natty Bumppo's Columbus Book of Euchre. Cards and Deal There are four players, each playing for themselves. A a 24 card deck is used, consisting of A-K-Q-J-10-9 in each of the four standard suits. As in Euchre, the trump suit ranks differently from the others. The top trump is the jack of the trump suit (right bower), second is the other jack of the same colour (left bower), and then follow the other cards of the trump suit: ace, king, queen, ten, nine. The other suits rank normally from high to low: A-K-Q-(J)-10-9. If there are no trumps, all suits rank from high to low A-K-Q-J-10-9. The first dealer is chosen at random, and thereafter the turn to deal passes to the left after each hand. The dealer deals a hand of five card face-down to each player, dealing the cards two or three at a time, in two rounds. The next card card is turned to indicate the proposed trump suit. If the turned up card is a club, then clubs are automatically trump. There is no bidding or dropping out and everyone must take at least one trick to avoid penalty. If the turned up card is not a club, the trump is determined as in Euchre. Starting with the player to the left of the dealer, each player has an opportunity to order up the turned card, confirming that suit as trumps. If it is ordered up the dealer takes it and discards a card face-down. If the first three pass, the dealer can take the turned up card, confirming its suit as trumps, or turn it down. If the dealer turns it down then each player in turn has the chance to name a trump suit different from that of the turned card. As soon as a player orders up the trump, or the dealer takes the trump, or a player names a trump suit, that player (the trump maker) is committed to try to win at least three tricks. Now each of the other players in turn, starting with the player to the trump maker's left, must say whether they will stay in or drop out. Anyone who stays in must take at least one trick or suffer a penalty. If you drop out you avoid the risk of a penalty for taking no tricks, but since you are not playing you have no opportunity to score for tricks taken. If the turned trump is not ordered up and not taken by the dealer, and no one names trump on the second round of bidding, then the hand is played without trumps and there is no opportunity to drop out. Each player must take at least one trick or suffer a penalty.

Ticket Sales Tip of the Week #52 Strategies to Secure Memberships, Groups, and Pre-Sales for Games. In today's ticket market, teams face a challenge: they don't always control the best prices due to the influence of the secondary market. Often, last-minute buyers score the best deals, making traditional sales pitches like "20% off" or "early bird pricing" less effective without a price protection. The Solution: Encourage early commitments by offering unique experiences, benefits, and merchandise would help justify an occasional slightly higher prices on game days. Notable examples: MLS - Orlando City SC Christopher Spano, former VP of TS. Pregame happy hours for members and group leaders at every game. NFL - Atlanta Falcons Don Rovak, SVP of TS. Implementing a spring window for members to repurchase unused tickets and offering tickets to an away Falcons game annually. Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog Thanksgiving It’s been a good year around Lake Keowee and we have an awful lot to be thankful for. Hopefully, you all do as well. This year we’ve got the annual USC v. Clemson game in our area and, unusually for the Gamecocks, they potentially have something more to play for than just state pride. They’ve come through to this point of the year playing better than many expected and with an outside chance at making the inaugural 12-team college football playoffs. Clemson on the other hand still has a chance to make the ACC Championship game as well as the playoffs. The main thing standing in the way is USC. This will make for an excellent afternoon of football this coming Saturday. Back to the actual reason you are here; Lake Keowee real estate. Another excellent week for Top Guns Realty, Inc., as we’ve been able to put 2 Lake Keowee waterfront lots under contract as well as closing a Lake Keowee interior lot. We currently have all of the waterfront lots that are dock-able between $300,000 and $500,000 in the MLS listed (5 properties). If you want one of those, we’re here to help (these very well may be the last ones you see on the market in this price range for the foreseeable future). As always, we’re here to help. The Lake Keowee market needs more inventory, some of you can help. We’re helping many buyers that need your help via listing your Lake Keowee real estate with us. Buyers, we have the amazing lots above, help us to help those owners. Somebody, help Clemson’s injured players to heal up quickly! Help me help you (thank you Tom Cruise).

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐅𝐋 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐮𝐦𝐬: 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝 As a real estate development attorney and a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Sports Law Practice, I’ve been keeping a close eye on the latest in stadium development projects. Recently, the Cleveland Browns announced their plans for a new domed stadium, joining other NFL teams like the Chicago Bears and Tennessee Titans in this growing trend. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: - 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐮𝐦𝐬: The Browns’ $2.4 billion indoor stadium proposal is part of a broader NFL trend. NFL teams are increasingly moving towards domed stadiums, marking a significant shift from the traditional open-air venues that many NFL teams have historically used. Currently, 10 out of 32 NFL teams play in domed stadiums, with more on the way. - 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: While domed stadiums come with higher construction costs, they promise greater versatility and potential economic benefits. The Browns’ proposed stadium aims to be the centerpiece of a large-scale lifestyle and entertainment district, boosting the local economy. - 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬: The Browns’ plan includes a 50-50 split between public funding and private investment. This funding model is becoming more common, though it often faces resistance from local governments and taxpayers due to the high costs involved. - 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬: The increasing focus on developing new domed stadiums with state-of-the-art facilities is driven by revenue generation. Modern stadiums are designed to unlock new revenue streams and maximize profitability by selling more premium seating and luxury options and utilizing the stadium year-round to host a wider range of events beyond football. These stadiums also include advanced technology, such as high-definition video screens and robust Wi-Fi networks, and other amenities offered to patrons to compete with the in-home viewing experience and meet the expectations of today’s fans looking to justify the increasing cost of attending an NFL game. As the landscape of sports and entertainment venues continues to evolve, a key question is whether fans and local taxpayers will be as enthusiastic about the prospect of shiny new multi-billion dollar venues as NFL team owners are. What's your take on this? Share your thoughts in the comments below! #GTLaw #RealEstateLaw #SportsLaw #EconomicDevelopment #NFL #SportsFacilities #EntertainmentVenues

The narrative surrounding the new stadiums for the Chiefs and Royals has the KC area buzzing. As both teams look to modernize their homes, the stakes are high not just for sports fans, but for the entire community! It's not just about touchdowns and home runs; it's about shaping the future of Kansas City and making it a destination for sports fans everywhere. A new stadium could mean revitalized neighborhoods, increased tourism, and a boost to the local economy. However, it seems not everyone agrees the potential positives outweigh the potential negatives. What do you think of the Stadium Situation? Sound off in the comments below! #KansasCity #KCChiefs #KCRoyals #LocalPolitics

Charging your worth and charging your marketplace value are two different things. For real though if you try to charge your worth “$100K” and the market value isn't there then you won’t close anyone at $100K so….. charging your worth will put you out of business. LeBron James is worth over a $$billy but his NBA marketplace value is around $47M per year. So If he demands $100M, he will have to pack up his bags and retire. Back in 1996, when Michael returned to the NBA and lead the chicago bulls to 3 more championships if he would of tried to request $47M per year, the market would have laughed at him. Michael Jordan is def worth over $47M per year, but not in that market So watch out for coaches out there telling you to charge your worth vs charging your marketplace value they could be failing you right now.
