What if geodetic surveyors had a pair of helping eyes? 🚀Maybe in the sky..... Take a look at how 3Di utilizes the DJI M300 RTK, equipped with a Zenmuse L1, giving our geodetic surveyors much more flexibility and efficiency when measuring sites. You'll see how the process starts with setting up Ground Control Points (GCPs) and flying the drone over the area. The drone captures detailed images and data, which are then processed into a #pointcloud and #orthomosaic. These tools, combined with the surveyors measurements, help to present more accurate data. Surveyors can check and correct their data, if necessary, as instead of having one source of data information, drones now provide a second pair of eyes for the surveyor. 👉 They save time by mapping large, open areas, allowing surveyors to focus on tricky spots like under trees or around big objects. Surveyors still need to visit the site to measure and mark features that might go unseen for the drone. This ensures that all visible and hidden features, like underground utilities and overhead lines, are accurately mapped and nothing is disregarded. ❓Have you ever used drones for any other purpose than just a joy ride? We would love to know all about it, enlighten us in the comments or message us directly! #3Di #innovation #productivity #drone #technology #survey #geodesy

RTK(real time kinematics) drone DJI Mavic 3 enterprises & DGPS available for surveying and mapping. What is an RTK on a drone? RTK stands for Real Time Kinematics. As a positioning and navigation system, RTK corrects GPS position data in real time as the drone flies over and surveys the selected area. How does an RTK drone work? RTK GPS drones have an onboard GNSS RTK receiver that collects data from satellites while flying and taking photos. The field GNSS base station located at a known point or connected to a CORS network needs to accurately mark the location of the image in real time. During the RTK workflow, seamless communication between the drone and the GNSS base station is required. When the drone lands, absolute accuracy data is available for processing in your mapping software if all signals are constant. The RTK method is suitable for flat terrain where trees or mountains do not obstruct the communication signal. It is ideal for RTK drones to fly over open terrain within 2 to 3 kilometres of a field base station or within 30 kilometres of a CORS station. If you already have access to your own base station, this can be used with an RTK drone as long as your base station has the ability to generate NTRIP data. AEROEXPERT Chennai-600040 TAMILNADU. Last week, I participated in another successful training session and flight with the Wingtra One Gen II VTOL RPAS at the Rainy River site. The New Gold GIS team delved into planning, flying, and processing orthomosaic images using the remarkable Sony RGB61. Leveraging WingtraOne in the tailings management area has not only optimized flight time but also enhanced mapping area coverage and accuracy. Despite its user-friendly interface, we prioritize continuous learning of best practices and drone safety to ensure compliance with Transport Canada's regulations. As Lead surveyor at the Rainy River Site, I have seen a huge uptick in the use of drones not only for mapping but imagery for planning as well. We have a wide range of drones on site but the Wingtra being the newest to our fleet has been a joy to work with and share its results. The WingtraOne drone boasts cutting-edge features like vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capability, enabling seamless operations in diverse terrains. With its Sony RGB61 camera, this drone delivers high-resolution imagery ideal for precision mapping applications. Its exceptional endurance and rapid data processing capabilities make it a game-changer for industries requiring efficient aerial data collection. From environmental monitoring to infrastructure inspection, the WingtraOne excels in various use cases, revolutionizing how we approach aerial surveying tasks. #EngineeringInnovation #DroneTechnology #AerialMapping #GIS #TransportCanadaCompliance #Surveying #MiningCanada #TailingsManagment #WingtraOne #AerialSurveying #InnovationInAction #SafeDroneOperations

Drones have become increasingly important in various industries due to their versatility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. They offer a wide range of applications, including aerial photography and videography, surveying and mapping, agriculture, infrastructure inspection, search and rescue operations, and more. However, to ensure safe and responsible drone operations, regulations such as the NPNT (No Permission, No Takeoff) rules are crucial. The importance of NPNT rules lies in ensuring the safe, secure, and responsible integration of drones into the airspace ecosystem, thereby enabling their continued contribution to economic development, innovation, and societal benefit.
