20 years of transformation, collaboration, and impact! As 2024 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on two decades of work at 3CDC that has helped shape and restore Cincinnati’s urban core. Since the 2006 renovation of Fountain Square, 3CDC's first major project, the organization has played a key role in over $2 billion of development work throughout Downtown Cincinnati and Over-the-Rhine. From restoring historic buildings and creating vibrant public spaces to supporting small businesses, affordable housing, and a fair chance work environment, our mission has been clear: to revitalize and connect Downtown Cincinnati and Over-the-Rhine while fostering inclusivity and opportunity. 3CDC's accomplishments to date would not have been possible without the incredible support of our corporate partners, community stakeholders, and the City of Cincinnati. Together, we’ve built a stronger, more vibrant Downtown—and we’re just getting started. Stay tuned over the next two days as we share milestones and stories from the past 20 years. Greater Cincy owes a huge thanks to Jim Zimmerman and Joe Pichler for the origins of 3cdc. If it weren’t for Macy’s opening their new flagship store in downtown Pittsburg 21 yrs ago, Steve Leeper and 3cdc may never have germinated ?!?! Who Dey to Jim & Joe !!
Congratulations to 3CDC. You’ve stayed with the original mission and have achieved amazing results. The next 20 years are going to be great fun ( and more thoughtful and hard work).
Bravo 3CDC impressive game changing impact of transformational history for Cincinnati ✨

3dWhile 3CDC is a truly amazing economic development success story, it raises the very serious question for Cincinnati taxpayers: Why is the City of Cincinnati paying six figure salaries to at least 40 senior staff at the City's Department of Community and Economic Development? As I look at the link below, I honestly can't recall ever hearing these names mentioned in any Cincinnati Enquirer story for the past 20 years. As a taxpayer I would appreciate learning why we need the City Economic Development Team when all the results seem to be delivered by 3CDC. Any way we could close down this City Department and just move the loose ends over to 3CDC and save taxpayers at least $50 Million and probably deliver incremental value? https://www.choosecincy.com/about-us
