Keepin' It Real: The Unpopular Superpower! So, I listened to Mel Robbins' podcast this morning, and one point really stood out to me: "To be authentic is to be unpopular." In a world full of copycats, being your authentic self can be difficult because being like everyone else seems like the easiest option, right? But here’s the truth: that’s not where the magic happens. Why Being Real Is Important: Real Connections: When you show up as your real self, you attract your kind of people. Quality over quantity, right? True Happiness: There’s no better feeling than being comfortable in your own skin. No more masks, just you. Fresh Ideas: Authenticity breeds creativity. When everyone’s not just nodding along, we get some seriously innovative stuff. Strong Backbone: Standing firm in who you are builds major resilience. You become unshakeable, even when others don’t get it. At Tyra Creative, we’re all about keeping it real. We celebrate what makes each of us unique because that’s where the magic happens. Pro Tip: Embrace your quirks. Authenticity is your superpower - use it!

When you reach 100 years old, all your friends will have died. Even your kids are just there to make sure you're ok. They no longer have time for you. So... 𝐈𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐠𝐞? -- When Woon Tai Ho (founder of CNA) first agreed to be a guest on the So This Is My Why Podcast, I knew that 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 was a topic that I wanted to dive into. Because if there's one thing people always talk about, it's time. Time is finite. Time is precious. Time is running out. So what if you did have time? What if you did live to a ripe old age? 𝐈𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬? I figured that Tai Ho would have a better insight, since he spent hours with 102-year-old Lim Tze Peng before writing a book about his life. And while 102 is quite awhile away, surely it's something worth thinking about 𝘯𝘰𝘸? What do you think? Is living to 102 a blessing or a curse? 𝐏/𝐒: Listen to Part 2 of Tai Ho's episode via the links in the comment below. We also talked about the price of success, why we don't need to be so woke, how he became an accidental biographer and the kind of legacy that Tai Ho wants to leave behind.
