Virtual switch features: Distributed Switch rollback

Virtual switch features: Distributed Switch rollback

- [Rick] In this video, we will learn about distributed switch rollback. And this is going to be somewhat similar to the host network rollback feature that we learned about in a prior video. But the big difference is a distributed switch rollback occurs when a change is made to the distributed switch itself that results in a loss of connectivity. And there's lots of changes that could potentially trigger a distributed switch rollback. Like for example, maybe we change the MTU of a distributed switch, or we choose an incompatible nick teaming method, or we choose the incorrect VLAN configuration. And a lot of those changes we learned about when we learned about the network health check feature. So let's assume that the change we make is we change the VLAN on a vSphere distributed switch to VLAN 20. But the physical switch itself is configured for VLAN 10, and this results in my ESXI hosts getting disconnected from vCenter. Now the ESXI hosts can no longer communicate with vCenter…
