- [Rick] In this video, I'll demonstrate how to complete a shared nothing vMotion. And so here you can see I'm logged into the vSphere client and I've got my virtual machine that I've been using for all of my migration demos. And we can see that this virtual machine is currently running on host 192.168.199.14. And let's take a look at the storage for this virtual machine. So under VM hardware here, I'm on the summary screen. I can see this VM is currently stored on a data store called data store. And so when I carry out a shared nothing vMotion, I'm going to migrate the virtual machine from the current data store and from the current ESXI host. And actually I'm going to start this demo by taking this vMotion demo virtual machine. And I'm just going to do a quick storage vMotion. What I want to do is I want to move all of the files for this VM to a local data store. And I'm doing this to kind of demonstrate the capabilities of this shared nothing vMotion.
