- [Rick] In this video, I'll demonstrate how to inflate a thin provisioned virtual disk. So we're going to start out by going to hosts and clusters, and I'm just going to create a new virtual machine. So I'm going to create a new VM on this host. I'll right-click the host, click new virtual machine, and I'm just going to create a very simple new virtual machine that I'm going to delete after this lesson. I'm just going to call it ThinProvisionDemo. I'll click Next. I'll pick the ESXi host that it's going to run on, and I'll pick the data store where this virtual machine's disks are going to be located. So I'm going to choose this data store right here. I'll click Next. I'm going to choose the latest version of virtual hardware. I'm going to choose the operating system that I intend to install on this virtual machine. And click Next.
