Demo: Create a datastore using the host client

- [Instructor] In this video, I'll demonstrate how to add a datastore using the Host Client in ESXi 8. So in our last video, I created a new ESXi host called "ESXi01". And this ESXi host had a single disk. It was a virtual disk, because again, I'm using VMware Workstation and virtual machines here. But regardless, if I had a real physical host and it only had one physical disk, you'd see something very similar. In the next part of this class, I'm going to install the vCenter Server Appliance, and I need a datastore for that. I don't have a datastore yet, so I need to do a couple things to make a datastore available so that I'll have a place to put my vCenter Server Appliance. And so I'm going to go through that process right now on ESXi01. So if you're using VMware Workstation, here's the process to add a disk to a virtual machine. I'm going to go ahead and right-click my ESXi01 machine here. I'm going to go to Settings. And under Settings, I'll click Add, and I'll choose Hard Disk…
