Demo: Configure iSCSI
- [Instructor] In this video, I'll demonstrate how to create a software iSCSI initiator on an ESXI host. And in my environment, I already have an iSCSI storage array sitting out there deployed and ready to go. It's actually running on my Windows server. So let's assume that, yeah, we have already deployed an iSCSI storage array, and now I want to create a new datatore on that storage array. And so I'm going to go to the vSphere client, and here I am under Hosts and Clusters, and here's my ESXI host. And I'm just going to go to this ESXI host, and under Configure, I'm going to go to, Storage Adapters. And what I want to do now is, I want to add a new storage adapter. So I'll click on Add Software Adapter, and we are adding a new software iSCSI adapter here. What I'm basically doing is I am adding a way for this ESXI host to connect to a storage device. And as you can see here, before I actually do this, you can see there's already some vmhbas that are already created that allow my ESXI…
