- [Instructor] Let's take a look at how you can buy Treasury Securities directly from the US Government, if you're so inclined. I'm at the TreasuryDirect.gov website. This is a website put out by the Treasury Department, and it's related to buying Treasury Securities directly from the federal government through a process that's called auction. Unlike corporate bonds or municipal bonds, government bonds, these Treasury bonds, are sold through auctions. You can participate in auctions if you're an individual investor, and of course, many institutions participate in them as well. You could start by learning more about these auctions and the fundamentals of them by coming to the Financial Institutions tab, and then down to Auction Fundamentals.
