It may surprise you to learn that after traditional radio stations the number one place where people go to discover new music today is not iTunes or Spotify or Pandora, it's YouTube. Yes, the video site. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that YouTube is completely free and that thousands of music fans have uploaded videos of their favorite songs in their entirety. YouTube is basically the world's largest jukebox. This means that posting your music on YouTube, is an important way to share your music and gain new fans. You can even make money directly on YouTube by monetizing your videos. If you haven't done so yet, be sure to sign up with YouTube and create your own YouTube channel. As you populate your channel with your music, people will begin to subscribe to it. This means they'll get an update every time you post new music.
