Setting up digital and physical distribution of your music
It's easier than ever to sell your music online these days. There are a number of services that can distribute music from independent artists to the plethora of online digital music stores like iTunes and streaming services like Spotify. TuneCore, CD Baby, The Orchard, Baseware for Beatport releases, and many others offer digital distribution. Here I'm going to focus on TuneCore and CD Baby as examples. These are two well respected and popular companies that offer a variety of services. And they're pretty much in competition with each other for your business. So, let's take a look at what they offer. CD Baby was one of the first independent digital distributors in the world. They currently have partnerships with nearly 100 digital music services, including the major players like iTunes, Amazon MP3, Google Play and Spotify.
