Circles
- [Voiceover] So in this video, I'll give you a lots of different facts about what you need to know about a circle. So, if I draw a circle here, I'll label some of its parts. So let's say there's a circle and probably the most fundamental thing we deal with is the radius of a circle. So that's a line extending from its center out all the way to any point on its edge. We call that the radius. The diameter is two times the radius, or a line drawn through the center of a circle from edge to edge. So that would be our diameter. A chord is a line drawn from point to point on a circle like that, that is not its diameter, generally. We call the diameter a diameter. Anything else we usually call a chord. Now, I'll draw another circle to show you a couple of things about angles. So let's say of a center of a circle here and I draw an angle going like this. Well I would call that central angle because it's coming from the center of the circle. And there's something to know about that, let's say…
