Welcome back. Did you enjoy this challenge? This is a very useful skill to have for whenever you need to add summary information to your chart without changing the design too much. Putting a table calculation into the label, or for example, into the tooltip allows you to supply additional information while leaving the focus of your chart on the pertinent analysis. Here is how I would solve this challenge. In a calculated field, for the total quantity, I would use the function WINDOW_SUM for the sum of quantity. That's it. We confirm and close with "OK" and drag the new measure onto label. You can see that Tableau now labels the bars all with the same number. It seems like we're not computing this correctly yet. We don't want to calculate the window sum for the whole table, just for the pane. So that is exactly what we do. In the Context menu, we set the calculation to compute using the Pane (down).
