- Keep your emotions out of the workplace. That is the single biggest misconception that I hear about work because business of any kind is really just a series of relationships, and we bring our emotional selves to all of our relationships. Who we are anywhere is who we are everywhere. So our emotions directly affect our success at work, but knowing how to strengthen our work relationships can be tough. It isn't always clear how to talk about our feelings and remain professional at the same time. I'm Dr. Emily Anhalt, a clinical psychologist with 15 years of experience supporting people with their work relationships, and I'm thrilled to be here to share some tools and tips for deepening your connections at work.
