The axis - SketchUp Tutorial
From the course: SketchUp 2021 Essential Training
The axis
- [Instructor] The red, green, and blue lines running through your drawing are the axes, and they are a very important part of drawing within SketchUp. The red and the green axes run along the ground plane and the blue axis runs vertically, straight up and down your 3D model. These will help you keep your lines plumb and your corners at a 90 degree angle when appropriate. We're going to see the axis utilized in videos to come as we learn more tools, such as moving objects along the axis or drawing geometry that's aligned with an axis. But just keep in mind that these are here to help keep us aligned, plumb and squared off when necessary.
