The first string E
From the course: Rock Guitar Lessons: Teach Yourself to Play
The first string E
- Alright, last but not least, we're gonna go over the notes on the first E string. We start out with open E, which is the top space of the staff. (sustained note) Then the first fret of that string is F, which is also the top line of the staff. (sustained note) Then you have the third fret here, G, which is above the staff. (sustained note) And again, play those with your first and third fingers. Let's check out the next example which just moves between those three notes. Here we go. (clicking) One, two, ready, go. (simple guitar music) And the next example moves between those three notes, E, F, and G in a 3/4 time. Let's check that example out now. (clicking) Ready, set, go. (simple guitar music)
