- When you get your resume done, give yourself a giant high five and then start thinking about how you're going to get that baby out in the wild. Of course, you can use it to apply for positions that you find posted online, but don't stop there. If that's your only job search method, you could be in for a long haul. I mean, have you seen how many candidates apply for the jobs you see posted on LinkedIn? Competition is typically stiff. So here are some additional ways you can share your resume. First, upload it to one or more job boards. You might focus on the biggies, like Indeed, Glassdoor, or The Muse, or do some sleuthing and find a few job boards that focus more narrowly around your area of expertise.
