- We see persistent pay gaps across the global workforce, and not only is it unfair, but it leads to burnout. According to The World Bank, equal pay is only mandated in fewer than half of economies or 90 economies worldwide. If you think about it, imagine you've done the exact same job for the same number of years, you have the same education and experience as the other person doing the same job, but you get paid 68 cents for every dollar the other person gets paid. That would likely make you feel like the efforts you're putting in aren't valued as much. You might start to ask yourself, why bother? We don't want our teams to ever ask those questions of themselves. Pay audits have become increasingly common and are a good first step to address the problem of pay gaps.
