Working with profiles and presets
- [Host] Let's take a moment to discover the power of presets, as well as profiles in camera raw. I'm going to select the waterfall, the portrait, and the farm, and then I'll use the open in camera raw icon in order to open these. Let's start with the waterfall and then I'm going to hide the film strip for a moment. Now we're going to start with profiles and we can think of profiles as a way to set the base interpretation of the image. So every raw image must have a profile applied to it and it can only have one profile applied to it at a time. So you can change your profile, you can change it at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end of your editing session, but when you select another profile it's going to remove the one that was previously applied. Now when working with raw files, Adobe's default profile is Adobe color for the color images and Adobe monochrome for black and white images. If you're working with JPEG…
