Removing distortions and cropping photos
- [Instructor] Camera Raw has several different tools for correcting lens distortions, applying prospective corrections, and cropping and straightening images. Let's take a look. I'm going to select this house image and then click on the open in camera raw icon. For now, I'll go ahead and hide the film strip. Now, depending on the quality as well as the focal length of the lens that you use to capture your images you may or may not see any distortion in your image caused by the lens. Typically, the distortion is much more noticeable with wide angle lenses and it gets worse in high contrast areas along the edge of files as well as with less expensive lenses. So if we look underneath the histogram we can see that this image was taken with a 24-1055 lens and it was taken at 24 millimeters. I'll go ahead and display the options for the optics panel and here I can quickly remove chromatic aberration and use profile corrections.…
