How should your logo move?
- [Instructor] We want to create an eye-catching logo animation that holds our audience's attention and it's going to be short and simple while still conveying the brand personality. So, let's take a look at the logo and see what jumps out. There are three main elements to this logo. We have the icon, the logotype, and the tagline or slogan, which is simple, scalable, sustainable. So let's learn a bit more about this company. So we can see that Red30 Tech has a brand personality, which is confident, curious, and dependable. So there's a lot of scope to be bold with the animation and possibly a little bit quirky, but we need to stay true to the dependable nature of Red30 Tech. Some of the products that they sell are artificial intelligence, cloud computing, networking, and security. So the branded content we create will feature some of these products. We have some further information about how the icon should form. It beings as an isometric hexagon and then explodes into the final icon. The middle illustration shows the parts that make up the icon and we can infer from this that the parts of the icon use blending modes to create the final look. Now we have some good information about the icon, we have some other considerations regarding the other parts of the logo. So, how will the logotype be revealed? It could just be a simple fade in just using opacity, or we could reveal the letters and numbers individually using some other device. And how will the tagline be revealed? Again, we could just fade it on or we could reveal the characters or words individually. When deciding how a logo should move, it's important to consider the brand values and personality so that what you create will fit within the brand guidelines. Now we have a better idea as to how the logo will be animated, we can move on and get started.
