What are baseline, scheduled, and actual values?
- [Instructor] Project tracks baseline, scheduled and actual values. Before you save a baseline and record progress, you need to understand what these different values represent. In this project file, the schedule already has a baseline saved and some actual values entered so we can see the difference between Baseline Scheduled and actual values. Well, let's start by applying the Baseline table. I'm going to go up to the top left of the table, right-click the all sales box, and then choose More Tables. In the More Tables dialog box, select Baseline and click Apply. With this table, you can see some of the important baseline values like Baseline Duration, Baseline Start, Baseline Finish, Baseline Work, and Baseline Cost. Also, let's go up to the Gantt Chart Format tab and click the Baseline button in the bar style section. Notice the check mark next to Baseline.
