- [Instructor] When you enter actual values in project, the program calculates actual cost for work and material resources. But with cost resources, you need to fill in the actual costs. This exercise file has more tasks updated, so we can see how these things work. We're looking at the Gantt chart with the tracking table. The first thing I want to do is remove the incomplete tasks filter. On the View tab, go to the Data section, click the down arrow in the filter box and choose No Filter. I also want to display the summary tasks for this project. So let's go of the Gantt Chart Format tab, and over in the Show/Hide section on the right, turn on the checkbox for Summary Tasks. Down in the task form, because we're working with cost, let's right-click in the task form in the details pane, and we're going to apply the cost table. Now we're ready to look at updating cost for cost resources. So I'm going to scroll down in the task list and find task 32, Obtain permits. We never did assign…
