- [Instructor] You have to be smart about updating your project schedule. So you and your team members don't spend too much time reporting and recording progress. The first thing you have to do for recording progress is to tell project the period that the progress is for and that means setting the status date. So go to the project tab and then head to the status section toward the right end of the ribbon, click the calendar icon to open the status date dialogue box. I'm going to set the status date to February 23rd, 2024, and then click OK. When I do that then you see the status date up in the ribbon. So you can always find the status date on the project tab. Now, we're going to start updating tasks. And we're going to start with the easiest ones; the ones that occur exactly as you planned. It might not happen often, but it does from time to time.
