Match calendar options to your project calendar
- Project needs to know how many work hours there are in a day and week, along with how many days there are in a month, so it can convert duration between time units. It also needs to know the default start and finish times for tasks when they don't have dependencies to calculate them. To set up the calendar options, first, we need to confirm what our calendar hours are. So, on the project tab, let's click change working time. In the four calendar box, it's set to standard. So, this is the calendar we want the calendar options to match. Today's date is selected and that's a workday, so we can look at the working times over at the top right. We can see that this calendar is set to nine to six with an hour for lunch. So, that's an eight hour day and a 40 hour week. So, that's what we need to know.
