- [Instructor] Project has features to help look at project costs and find tasks or resources that cost more than planned. You can use these to look for ways to reduce costs to keep the project within or close to budget. So, let's start by looking at the cost table. Go to the View tab, in the Data section click Tables, and then choose Cost. I'm going to drag the vertical divider over so I can see the fields in this table. In this table you can see the total cost, the baseline, the variance, actual cost, and remaining. So, in this case, we have a variance of about $18,000. Now, one thing that you can do to focus on the right tasks is to run the Cost Overbudget filter. On the View tab click the down arrow in the filter box, and at the bottom of the menu choose More Filters. We're going to start with Cost Overbudget, which is up near the top. Select that and click Apply. Notice that when we do this that there're really only a handful of tasks that have led to this variance…
