- [Instructor] Grouping helps you look at categories of tasks, resources, or assignments. For example, you might group tasks first by critical tasks and then by duration, in order to find the best task to modify to shorten the schedule. We're looking at our custom OM Gantt view, but now want to group these tasks. So on the view tab, let's head to the data section and where it says no group, click the down arrow. In the built-in section, we're going to choose a built-in group called complete and incomplete tasks. When I select that, temporary summary rows will show up for each category. In this case, the project has either completely unstarted tasks or complete tasks. So the first group is for unstarted tasks. Then, if I scroll down to the bottom, I'll see a second group of complete tasks where complete is a hundred percent and there are only three of them. But notice what you can do with the summary rows. You can see the work that it took to complete those three tasks, 304 hours, and…
