- [Instructor] Sometimes, you'll want to look at the project at several levels. You can create more than one timeline, each with its own date range, to look at a high-level view and close-up at the same time. So we want to add a second timeline to the timeline view. Let's go up and click the Timeline pane. Notice that when you do that, you'll see the Timeline Format tab on the ribbon. So let's click that. When you want to add another timeline bar to the view, go to the Insert section and click Timeline Bar. That adds a second bar to the view. I'm going to select the bar, 'cause I want to change the dates. Now, once I select that bar, I'm going to go to the show/hide section, and click Date Range. That opens up the Set Timeline Dates dialogue box. By default, it has it set to show the project start and finish dates.
