Copy tasks from another program
- [Bonnie] Suppose you get task information from Team members in Word documents or emails. Project and other Microsoft Office programs play well together so it's easy to copy and paste task information into Project. So here, we're looking at a Word document that the Team members have created to list the project tasks. The bolded tasks represent summary tasks and the tasks are indented using tabs to reflect the outline that you want to see in Project. In addition, if I scroll down, there's one task that's shaded and this shading indicates that this task is supposed to be a milestone. So let's say we want to get these tasks into our Project file. To do that, go ahead and select the tasks. You can drag over them or press control A. Then go to the home tab to the clipboard section and click the copy icon. That copies the tasks to the clipboard. So now I'm going to switch over to Project and let's head to the bottom of the task list and click the first blank task name cell. This is where I…
