Choose a different table

- [Instructor] A table, like the one you see in the Gantt chart view, works like a spreadsheet. It has columns for project fields, while the rows are for tasks, resources, or assignments. that way you can select and edit values for those items. So here we're going to work with the Gantt chart view in the primary pane. So I make sure that it's active. I can tell that it's active because its name is in green on the left side of the screen. Then on the view tab, to choose a different table, go to the data section in the middle of the ribbon and click the down arrow on the table's button. That displays a dropdown menu with tables you can choose. For example, I could select the summary table. That gives a nice overview of the tasks that I see in my project. On the other hand, if I wanted to see cost, I could click that down arrow on the tables button and choose cost instead.
