Assign resources to tasks
- [Instructor] Project offers several methods for assigning resources to tasks. Let's take a look at how to use a few of them. If you have simple assignments, you can put assignments in in the Gantt chart with the entry table. To see how this works, let's first narrow the column for task names. So I'm going to drag the header divider over to the left. Then I'm going to point at the vertical divider between the table and the time scale and drag to the right, so I can see the Resource Names column. To assign a resource to a task, select the Resource Names cell in the row for the task, in this case, task four, Draft budget. Then click the down arrow, and you'll see check boxes for all the resources. You just turn on the check boxes for the resources that you want to assign. You can check one or more than one and once you've selected them all, then press enter to finish the assignment.
