- [Instructor] You can assign overtime in a couple of ways in Project, depending on whether you need to track how much overtime people work and the cost involved. Now first, if team members aren't paid extra for overtime and you don't need to track their overtime hours you can just assign longer hours by increasing their assignment units. So we're using the task usage view to look at this. in the time phased grid. We're going to go to the details column right click where it says work. And then on the pop-up menu, click detail styles. We're going to scroll down until we find overtime work. Click it, click show to add it to the list that displays in the time phased grid and then click okay. So now I have a row for total work and a row for overtime work. Now let's scroll down to a task and look at how this part works. We're going to go to task 27 design office space.
