- [Instructor] Sometimes there's a delay or overlap between linked tasks. Project links can handle these delays and overlaps. Before we dig into how that works, I want to show more of the time scale. So I'm going to point at the vertical divider between the table and the time scale. And when I see the double headed arrow, I can drag to the left and now I have more timescale displayed. Now we're going to go down in the list in this project and find task 32, obtain permits. Let's say that there's a three week delay to get the permit to proceed. So demolish walls has to wait until you've got the permit. We're going to create a link between task 32, obtain permits, and task 34, demolish walls and add a lag to it. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to create this link in the task form. So what I want to is the successor task, demolish walls. Then I'm going to go to the predecessor cell in the task form, click the down arrow, and I want to scroll up a little bit and select obtain permits.…
