- We've gotten a lot from Massive's synthases engine. And we've created some really interesting sounds using basic audio processing and some insert effects. But now it's time to add a little bit of extra juz to our sounds by adding some master effects that are going to have the entire sound running through them. Let's go over to our pad here, pull this guy up, solo him. (synth sound) So I like this sound and the delay is creating some sort of nice atmosphere with this patch, but what I'd like to do is add some extra space to it so that we can pull it back in the mix a little bit, and it feels a little bit more atmospheric and a little bit less in your face. Because we want to keep a lot of room for the really punchy elements in the mix. So remember, we have lots of different dimensions in which we mix sounds together. We've got rhythmic dimensions, we're got pitch dimensions, we've also got brightness, we've got panning, and we also have front-to-back mixing. And there are a lot of…
