- Now, locations. Securing locations is going to be one of the biggest sort of challenges and tasks of any production, really. And there's a couple of things to keep in mind in terms of what makes a good location. Now obviously, especially when you're starting out and you're on an ultralow budget, a good location is one that is available when you need to shoot and that you can afford, obviously. That being said, hopefully you'll have several things to choose from that meet that criteria. And there's some particular things that you want to be thinking about. There's essentially two things that go into whether or not a location is good or not. Artistic considerations and production or producorial considerations.
