- [Narrator] In most cases Mac OS uses an easy automatic process for setting up a printer. We'll see that process here and also see what you can do if the automatic process does not work. But first, if the instructions that come with your printer tell you to do something different, I would go with those instructions. But for most printers, this is how it will work. Now, my printer is already plugged into power, it's turned on and the ink cartridges have been installed. So I'm just going to connect the USB cable from the printer to my computer. And I'll do that now. Now this is the first time I've ever connected this printer to my computer. In some cases, a window will just pop up on the screen and will offer to install drivers for you.
