Organize items on the desktop
- Lets look at how you can store files on the desktop, and how to get things cleaned up, when you have too much stuff on the desktop. To understand this, we need to start in Finder. So open up Finder, and I want to go to the Desktop folder, which is one of the standard folders inside of your Home folder, or you can just use this shortcut here on the left. Except for any storage drives, you might see on the desktop, everything on the desktop is actually inside of this desktop folder. I just don't have anything there yet. So you could save something, or move something directly to the desktop. For example, if I go to my documents folder, I could grab a folder here, drag it straight to the desktop and its been moved there. Or lets grab some files, I'll go into another folder where I have a lot of files. Actually I want to select all of them so go I'll go to the edit menu and choose select all, and this time instead of…
