Launch applications
- [Instructor] This video will cover a few ways to launch applications on your Mac and some additional details. Usually the easiest way to launch an application is to find it in the doc. Just find the icon for the application that you want, and click on it to launch it. When an application is running, usually a window opens, but even if you don't see a window, you know an application is running when you see the little black dot under the icon in the doc. Now I'm sure you've noticed not every application on your computer is in the doc. So a different way to launch applications is to go to Launchpad. That's another button here in the doc, and this shows all of the applications installed on your computer. This is similar to the home screen on an iPhone or an iPad.
