Working with animation curves

- If you want even finer control over your animation you'll have to turn to f-curves, and these allow you to control the interpolation that MotionBuilder provides, so it allows you control over the inbetweens. Now we can find f-curves here in this tab in the Navigator. It brings up a window that basically just follows the timeline. Now this window here will contain the f-curves and these will build as we create the animation so you can see how these work. So I'm going to go ahead and select my ball, and let's just do a simple bouncing ball animation. So I'm going to take my ball and make sure I'm at one. In fact, before I do anything let's go ahead and make our timeline 60 frames long. And then make sure we're at zero. And I'm going to move this over, right about there. And let's go ahead and set a key. And when I do, if you select Translation you'll see that we have keys for Translation and Rotation but not Scale. So green means that the channel is keyed, and the red K tells you that…
