- [Instructor] Okay, let's go ahead and add another layer in our documents. So, go to the layer stack here and tap the plus on top there and if you want to, you can draw some shapes that I'm about to paste into my document here, it's just a couple of overlapping ellipses, okay, that are then duplicated and dragged out for further copies or you could just sit back, relax, have a sip of your favorite beverage and watch this bit, how does that sound? I'm going to select each one of these in turn and go through what we would call the pathfinder options in Illustrator but here combined shapes is how they're being referred to, just in case you've not come across them before. So combine all, we'll join together both shape, the color of the top most fill will be the one that's applied to the results, there we go, that's that one. The next one is the minus front operation and that will punch the top most shape out of the two…
