- One of the key features of the cut page is how adding clips to the timeline differs from the edit page. In this movie, you'll also learn the various edit and trim operations on the cut page and we're going to start by rebuilding our sequence as a rough cut using more traditional edit tools here on the cut page. What I've done is I've deleted all of our clips, I've also gone ahead and reset our UI layout and put us back to full screen so that we're all kind of starting from the same position. So I'm going to start by grabbing this clip AA and then 501.mov. Of course we can drag on to the timeline here, and I can either drag up here onto the mini timeline or I could drag down here. And I want to emphasize that as I do that drag operation that it will always drop us at the start time code of the timeline which is one hour straight up.
