Takeoff sheet introduction
- [Instructor] Let's take a look at the takeoff sheet. At the top on the header, there's areas that you can indicate the project that you're working on, the area within the project, the system in the project, like drywall or electrical, the estimator who's responsible for that particular sheet. Now, down below there's a bunch of columns. You can list the item that you're taking off, the quantity of that item. There's a column for the price, and where you see per, that's for the unit of measurement. It may be in each or per hundred or per cubic yard. Then an extension column, that's just for the price. The next column to the right is the labor column. That's an individual labor unit based on the per, unit of measure and that gets extended too on the next right column.
