- [Instructor] Let's talk about creating bid proposals. We'll start off with proposal letters. This is a letter that you're going to write to a potential client outlining your bid price. Do you remember back in middle school when we were taught how to write a proper business letter? What were the components? Who, what, when, where, and why? Well, we try to capture as much of that as we can in this letter. Who, make sure you put your customer's name and address in, any contact information also. Another who is who it's coming from, you, the customer. What, this is really the meat and potatoes. List what project you're bidding on, or proposing, your scope of work, and of course your pricing. Not only is it important to list what's included in your scope of work but to keep things clear and avoid arguments down the road, put your exclusions too.
