- In this exercise, we're going to explore another really neat feature of XD. It's called Stacks. To get started, open the stacks file found in your chapter download. Stacks solve a rather big design issue when it comes to UX design. As a project increases in complexity due to regular iterations, modifying the screens takes up a lot of valuable time, which could be spent elsewhere. Stacks solve that issue big time. What is the stack? Glad you asked. Stacks are a content aware design feature that makes rearranging content on an art board both simple and dynamic. Here's how, Stacks work with groups. This is important. All of the content in a stack must be grouped and the stack applied to that group. So let's select the two large groups at the top of this page, these two right here, and group them.
