- [Instructor] These days, many of us rely heavily on texting through the Messages app on our iPhones or iPads to keep in communication with our friends, families, and colleagues. It can become increasingly difficult to keep track of all of your separate conversations, especially if you have a lot of group chats, where you're messaging more than one person. A feature of Messages that can make it a lot easier to keep track of your conversations is the ability to reply to specific messages in a thread. We've probably all been in chat situations like this one, where multiple topics of conversation are being discussed. For example, here, Nick has asked if Clark and I are free for lunch. We both said that we are, but Clark said he has to be back for a meeting, and Nick asks where we should eat, but then Clark also asks if Nick is going to be in that same meeting.
