- [Narrator] Now let's take a look at the Health app. For years, there have been tons of third-party health-related apps for doing things like tracking your distance, heart rate, and speed while doing things like running or biking, or for keeping track of the amount of calories or types of food you consume each day, or for monitoring your weight. For the most part, these apps function completely independently from each other. To track multiple types of stats or activities, you need multiple apps. But with the iOS Health app, you have a central location to store and view your stats. And it also allows supported apps to share information. Let's take a look at how it works. Now, the first time you opened the app, you'll be walked through a tour of the Health app and be given a chance to answer some of your basic data.
