- [Instructor] We've seen that you can use Siri to listen to text messages and emails and that you can dictate replies to Siri as well. But the truth is you can use voice dictation to compose text in just about any app in which the onscreen keyword appears. Now, technically this isn't a Siri command, it's just considered voice dictation but you are using the same basic functionality. And new to iOS 14, you can now dictate into apps even without an internet connection. All the transcriptions are done entirely on your device instead of being sent to Apple servers which makes it faster and gives you an extra layer of security. So generally anytime you're using an app that has a keyboard, you should see this microphone button in the lower right-hand corner.
