Rotating text at 90-degree angles
- Sometimes our table design calls for the text in the table headings or other cells to be rotated. InDesign makes it really easy to rotate text at 90 degree increments. I'm going to select these dates in my header, right here, and I'll show you how it's done. I'm going to right mouse click to get the contextual menu, and go to our text options. Here, at the bottom part of the dialog, we have a setting for text rotation. And, we can set it in 90 degree increments. I'm going to rotate this text to 90 degrees, and click OK. Now, when I do this, I get text overset. Eventhough this cell is set to grow but, I can easily fix that by just mousing over the bottom of the row, and pulling down. There. And, my text is rotated. But that's not exactly what I wanted. I wanted it to go in the other direction. So, I'm going to select these cells again, and I can use my contextual menu again, or, notice on the control panel, I have these icons that do the same thing. I can rotate the text 180 degrees,…
